Every day, many women in Nigerian society and in Africa as a whole are victims of domestic violence in marriage and other forms. I too was a victim of domestic violence in my youth. Thousands suffer other violence in the form of sexual abuse/molestation and other forms of modern day slavery. The Womens Light Home provides temporary shelter and protection for them.

Solidarity Nigeria now provides abused and battered women with access to interest-free loans that enable them to start a new life. Our main focus is to help the poor, especially women, improve their socioeconomic status.
